Cut Killer

Cut Killer is a pioneering French DJ and producer, best known for his influential role in the French hip-hop scene since the 1990s. Born Anouar Hajoui in Morocco and raised in France, he made his mark through mixtapes that blended American rap with emerging French-language hip-hop, helping to give a platform to French rap artists at a time when the genre was still gaining traction in Europe. His widely acclaimed mixtapes, including the iconic "Hip Hop Soul Party" series, and his performance in the cult film "La Haine" (where he famously scratches Edith Piaf into NTM), solidified his reputation as a creative force behind the turntables.

Cut Killer played a vital part in bridging the gap between American and French hip-hop, incorporating soul, funk, and classic rap into highly curated sets. With collaborations and remixes that have highlighted both mainstream and underground talents, he's maintained a presence in the evolving music landscape. Beyond performing, he has also contributed to radio shows and promoted rising acts through his label Double H Productions, co-founded with fellow artist JoeyStarr. His career has left a lasting legacy on French urban music culture.
