Zeki Çağlar Namlı

Zeki Çağlar Namlı, born in 1981 in Trabzon, Turkey, is a celebrated musician known for his innovative approach to traditional Turkish instruments. He began his musical journey at the age of 8, initially playing the keyboard before transitioning to the bağlama at around 14. Namlı is particularly noted for his contributions to the advancement of the bağlama, introducing new techniques and styles that have influenced a broad range of genres, from traditional folk to contemporary jazz and world music.

As a composer and instrumentalist, Zeki Çağlar Namlı has also been recognized for his inventive spirit. He developed the "natural stereo" system for string instruments, allowing them to produce a unique stereo sound. Namlı leads the Zeki Çağlar Namlı Saz Band, which blends jazz and Middle Eastern music into a captivating fusion. His work includes several albums and compositions, and he is known for his dynamic live performances. Additionally, he has been involved in film projects as a composer.
