Powerhill

Powerhill is the brainchild of Swiss guitarist Cep, who cleverly fuses his love for heavy metal with an unexpected passion for cows, resulting in a genre all his own: “farm metal.” The band, known for high-energy live shows involving head-banging “peasants” and their beloved cow mascot Clotilde, delivers a rollicking mix of classic hard rock, hair metal, and sleaze rock, with farm life humor at the heart of both their sound and spectacle. Inspired in a small, dark stable in Taverne, Switzerland, Powerhill first made waves in 2006 with the single “New Dimension” featured on “Heavy Metal Nation III,” but after a hiatus, regrouped in 2018 and have since released a string of self-produced singles like “Mad Cow City,” “Powerhill,” “You’re Hated,” and most recently “Generation X.” The band has evolved to feature their first frontwoman Veronica Torre and continues to enchant audiences with their unique blend of rock ‘n’ roll and country charm.

Recent releases include “Generation X,” “My Mood,” “Powerhill,” “I Can Wait for You,” “Daily Job,” the EP “Bunnies & Eggs,” “You’re Hated,” and “Covid-20,” all keeping up their tradition of hard-hitting rock with a rustic twist. Their debut album, also titled “Generation X,” was released in 2025 under Dr. Music Records, with the legendary Jörg Michael contributing on drums.
