The Movement

The Movement is a dynamic American reggae band that has enchanted audiences with their distinct blend of rock, roots, and reggae music since their formation in Columbia, South Carolina in 2004. Comprised of founding member Joshua Swain, who originally joined forces with Jordan Miller and Jay Schmidt to create their debut album "On Your Feet", the band has undergone several lineup changes over the years, solidifying its unique sound and dedicated fanbase.

Their musical journey has taken them through a series of well-received albums, such as "Set Sail" (2008) and "Ways of the World" (2019), the latter of which reached number one on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart. Known for thought-provoking lyrics and a vibrant stage presence, The Movement has teamed up with like-minded artists in the reggae community, contributing to their expansive repertoire. Noteworthy recent collaborations have included working with Little Stranger on the "Chainz (Remix)", sharing creative vibes with Slightly Stoopid and J Boog on "Sounds of Summer (Remix)", and joining forces with Iration on "On & On". Their recent singles, including "God Of Love" and "Open The Door", continue to showcase their evolution and commitment to exploring new horizons in their sound, reaffirming The Movement's position as influential figures in the contemporary reggae scene.
