**Rumble On The Beach** is a German band from Bremen, known for their unique blend of rockabilly, country, punk, and rock 'n' roll. Formed in mid-1985 by Michael "Ohlly" Ohlhoff (guitar, vocals), Marc "Tinroofcat" Mittelacher (drums, vocals), and Andreas "Andy" Merck (bass, vocals), the group emerged after leaving the rockabilly band Randy Rebels. They gained recognition with their early albums, including *Rumble Rat* (1987) and *Rumble* (1988), and their cover of Prince's "Purple Rain" reached the top 6 in the German Independent Charts in 1987. Over the years, Rumble On The Beach has toured extensively in Europe, Canada, and the U.S., sharing stages with notable acts like the Stray Cats and collaborating with artists such as Rosie Flores and Ben Hewitt.
In recent years, the band has experienced a resurgence, with a "reunion" of sorts in 2015, leading to the release of *Two Legendary Albums - Rumble Rat & Rumble* in 2016. This compilation highlighted their early work and marked a return to active performance. Their music remains a vibrant part of the rockabilly and punk-infused rock scene, blending energetic live performances with a rich musical heritage.
