Amparo Iturbi was a Spanish pianist and composer who lived from 1898 to 1999. She was the daughter of the renowned pianist and conductor José Iturbi and studied piano with him from a young age. Amparo made her debut as a concert pianist at the age of 15 and went on to have a successful career as a soloist and chamber musician. She was known for her interpretations of Spanish music, particularly the works of Granados and Albéniz. Amparo also composed several pieces for piano and orchestra, including a piano concerto and a suite for piano and strings.
