Thomas Rüedi is a Swiss euphonium player and composer who has made a significant contribution to the world of brass music. Born in 1955, Rüedi began playing the euphonium at the age of 10 and quickly developed a passion for the instrument. He went on to study at the Zurich Conservatory and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Bern, where he honed his skills as a performer and composer.
Rüedi's compositions for euphonium are known for their lyrical melodies, rich harmonies, and technical virtuosity. He has written a wide range of works for solo euphonium, euphonium and piano, and euphonium and orchestra.
