Thomas Rüedi is a Swiss euphonium player and composer who has made a significant contribution to the world of brass music. Born in 1955, Rüedi began playing the euphonium at the age of 10 and quickly developed a passion for the instrument. He went on to study at the Zurich Conservatory and the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Bern, where he honed his skills as a performer and composer.

Rüedi's compositions for euphonium are known for their lyrical melodies, rich harmonies, and technical virtuosity. He has written a wide range of works for solo euphonium, euphonium and piano, and euphonium and orchestra. His music has been performed by leading euphonium players around the world and has been featured on numerous recordings.
