Andreas Utnem

Andreas Utnem is a Norwegian jazz pianist and composer, born in 1973. He has gained international recognition through his work, particularly with the trio of Norwegian folk fiddler Gjermund Larsen, as well as with saxophonist Trygve Seim. The duo of Seim and Utnem has collaborated over many years, developing a unique sound that emphasizes melody and improvisation. Utnem is also known for his contributions as a church musician and composer for theater and television dramas in Norway and Sweden. He has been involved in around 50 albums, showcasing his versatile talent across genres like classical and jazz.

Utnem's recent releases include projects such as *Du kjenner meg*, *Christmas Songs*, *Night Hymns*, and *Purcor*, the latter being recorded with Trygve Seim on ECM Records. His work often highlights his ability to blend traditional and contemporary elements, making him a notable figure in Norwegian music.
