Jeanette MacDonald

Jeanette MacDonald was an American soprano and actress who starred in a series of popular operettas and musicals during the 1930s and 1940s. She was known for her beautiful voice and her charming personality, and she was one of the most popular stars of her era. MacDonald was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1903. She began singing at an early age, and she made her professional debut in 1921. She quickly rose to fame, and she soon became one of the most popular singers in the world. MacDonald starred in a number of successful films, including "Naughty Marietta" (1935), "Rose Marie" (1936), and "San Francisco" (1936). She also performed on Broadway and in concert halls around the world. MacDonald died in 1965 at the age of 61.
