Julie Doiron is a Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist known for her intimate and introspective folk music. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, she began her career in the early 1990s as a member of the band Eric's Trip. After the band's breakup, Doiron embarked on a solo career, releasing her debut album, "Broken Girl," in 1996. Since then, she has released a string of critically acclaimed albums, including "Woke Myself Up" (2001), "Desormais" (2005), and "I Can Wonder What You Did with Your Day" (2010). Doiron's music is often characterized by its sparse arrangements, haunting melodies, and honest lyrics that explore themes of love, loss, and longing.
