S.C.A.B.

S.C.A.B. is a Brooklyn-based indie rock band fronted by Sean Camargo, whose parents immigrated from Ecuador and Bolivia. The band’s name originally came from the first letters of the members' names (Sean, Cory, Alec, Brandon) but also serves as a metaphor for protection and healing within the group. They blend nostalgic reflections of 90s New York with a grittier, raucous sound, mixing distorted guitars with melodic pop influences. Their sophomore, self-titled album *S.C.A.B.* (2022) was self-engineered and produced during the pandemic after relocating temporarily to Georgia, helping them hone a distinctively New York vibe. Sean’s lyricism evokes vivid snapshots of the city, balancing wit with heartfelt storytelling.

Their debut album, *Beauty & Balance* (2019), marked their emergence, with tracks that have drawn critical praise for jangly guitars and relatable, evocative lyrics. Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, the band continued evolving their sound and presence, releasing recent albums like *L.A.A.Y.G.S.G.M.* and *4th of July* in 2025. The group has garnered attention for their blend of rock energy and narrative depth, creating a compelling sonic snapshot of modern urban life through their music.
