Pictures of Vernon

Pictures of Vernon is an American emo band that has carved out its own niche within the indie and DIY music scene with a sound that seamlessly blends energetic punk influences and heartfelt lyrical vulnerability. Originating from Asheville, North Carolina, the band formed in 2015 and quickly garnered attention with their self-titled EP, "Pictures of Vernon", released the following year. Their music exhibits a raw and authentic character, which they've managed to evolve through subsequent releases, leading a resurgence of the '90s emo and punk sound with fresh, contemporary energy.

Composed of Anderson Ragan (vocals and guitar), Daniel Gorham (guitar), and Zach Sizemore (bass), with a rotating cast on drums, Pictures of Vernon reached new creative heights with the 2017 release of "The Days Are Just Packed". The band's penchant for thought-provoking lyrics and memorable hooks continued in their celebrated single "bug" and was even more apparent in the cheekily titled "Now That's What I Call Music Vol. 420", showcasing their ability to balance introspection and humor with their musical craft. As they maintain a dedicated fanbase and continue to tour, Pictures of Vernon stands as a testament to the enduring appeal of emotive punk music.
