Peter Hanson is a distinguished violinist known primarily for his role as concertmaster of Sir John Eliot Gardiner’s Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique (ORR), a position he has held for over 25 years. He has been a prominent figure in the period instrument movement, performing with a range of ensembles including the English Baroque Soloists, the English Concert under Trevor Pinnock, and as concertmaster of the Philharmonia Orchestra under Rostropovich.
