Anton Zap

Anton Zap is a renowned electronic music artist from Moscow, Russia, born in 1979. He initially studied Chinese for seven years before pursuing a two-year sound engineering course. Zap's career in music began early, as he started collecting vinyl records and was part of Moscow's underground lounge group, Tetris, in the mid-90s. He became a resident DJ at Propaganda, one of Moscow's leading clubs, from 1997 to 2005. After his residency ended, Zap shifted his focus to producing music, which led to releases on distinguished labels like Underground Quality, Uzuri Recordings, and Quintessentials. His music is celebrated for its blend of deep house and classic Detroit techno, often featuring soulful and hypnotic elements.

Anton Zap has made significant contributions to the electronic music scene, not only through his influential releases but also through his dynamic performances. He made his international DJ debut at Berlin's Panorama Bar in 2009 and has since performed at prestigious venues and festivals worldwide, including Fabric in London and Sonar in Barcelona. Zap continues to tour and has been involved in various projects, including launching his own labels. His recent releases, such as "Modernization," "Bapbap EP," and "Pepper Exchange EP," reflect his ongoing contribution to the electronic music landscape.
