Mediæval Bæbes

Mediæval Bæbes are a British vocal group formed in the mid-1990s by Katharine Blake, also known for her work with the gothic rock band Miranda Sex Garden. Known for their lush harmonies and ethereal sound, the group blends lyrics from medieval texts with enchanting vocal arrangements and often incorporates period instruments. Singing in a variety of languages — including Latin, Middle English, and Old French — the Mediæval Bæbes create a dreamlike atmosphere that bridges historical tradition with contemporary appeal.

Their debut album, Salva Nos, released in 1997, was both a critical and commercial success, establishing their unique niche in the music world.
