Gary Bartz Ntu Troop was a jazz fusion band led by saxophonist Gary Bartz. The band was formed in 1970 and released a series of acclaimed albums throughout the 1970s, including "Harlem Bush Music - Uhuru" (1970), "Celestial Blues" (1971), and "Live In Bremen 1975" (1975). The band's music was characterized by its blend of jazz, funk, and African rhythms, and featured a rotating lineup of talented musicians, including pianist McCoy Tyner, bassist Ron Carter, and drummer Elvin Jones. Gary Bartz Ntu Troop disbanded in the late 1970s, but their music continues to be celebrated by jazz fans around the world.
