Still Remains

Still Remains is a metalcore band from Grand Rapids, Michigan, formed in 2002. Known for their melodic interludes, energetic performances, and a blend of metalcore with gothic and hard rock influences, Still Remains carved out a niche in the heavy music scene of the mid-2000s. Their debut studio album, "Of Love and Lunacy," was released in 2005 on Roadrunner Records and received critical acclaim for its dynamic approach to the genre, balancing heavy riffs with atmospheric keyboards. The release was impactful enough to merit a special edition, further cementing the band's rising status in the metal community.

The band's follow-up, "The Serpent," arrived in 2007 and showcased a continued evolution in their sound, implementing even more melody and mature songwriting, which resonated with a broadening fan base. This, too, received a special edition treatment. However, the band members decided to part ways in 2008, citing the desire to focus on other parts of their lives. Still Remains would not remain dormant for long, as they announced their reunion in 2011 and subsequently released "Ceasing to Breathe" in 2013, an album that served as a strong comeback record, delivering the heavy, poignant music that their fans had come to expect. Even after their initial departure from the scene, tracks such as "Reading Lips" and the intense energy of their music continue to resonate with metalcore enthusiasts.
