A Far Cry is a Boston-based chamber orchestra that has been pushing the boundaries of classical music since its founding in 2007. Known for their adventurous programming and collaborative spirit, the ensemble has performed everything from Bach to Radiohead, and has premiered over 50 new works by living composers. Led by Artistic Director and violinist Sandy Cameron, A Far Cry's performances are characterized by their energy, precision, and deep musicality. With a focus on community engagement and education, the orchestra regularly performs in schools, hospitals, and other non-traditional venues, making classical music accessible to a wide range of audiences.
