Pacific Symphony Orchestra
The Pacific Symphony Orchestra is a major American symphony orchestra based in Orange County, California. Founded in 1978, the orchestra has grown into one of the largest and most dynamic ensembles in the United States. Under the long-time leadership of Music Director Carl St.Clair, who has been with the orchestra since 1990, Pacific Symphony is known for its imaginative programming, strong commitment to American composers, and community outreach efforts.
Performing at the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa, the orchestra engages in a wide variety of performances, from classical masterworks to pops concerts and educational initiatives. Pacific Symphony frequently commissions and premieres new works, especially from contemporary American composers like Philip Glass, Michael Daugherty, and Richard Danielpour.
