THE YELLOW MONKEY

THE YELLOW MONKEY is a legendary Japanese rock band that first burst onto the scene in the early 1990s, known for their glam rock style, theatrical performances, and powerful songwriting. Fronted by charismatic vocalist Kazuya Yoshii (also known as Yoshii Lovinson), the band quickly built a reputation for blending classic rock influences with flamboyant visuals and poetic lyrics. Their breakout success came with albums like “Jaguar Hard Pain” and “Sicks,” helping to cement their place as one of Japan’s most influential rock acts of the decade.

After disbanding in 2001, the band reunited in 2016 to much fanfare from longtime fans. Since then, they’ve continued to release new music and tour, proving their enduring appeal across generations. Recent releases like “CAT CITY” and “SHINE ON” show that THE YELLOW MONKEY still have their creative spark and rock spirit firmly intact.
