Richard Fu

Richard Fu is a talented pianist with a multifaceted background in music. Born in Shanghai, he initially pursued Political Science at Dartmouth College before shifting his focus to classical music during his time in Vienna. He later honed his skills at prestigious institutions like the Royal College of Music, University of Oxford, and the Juilliard School. Fu is noted for his affinity for Lieder and chamber music, often collaborating with cellist Zlatomir Fung, with whom he has recorded music. His musical journey has included performances in the U.S., Europe, and China, as well as fellowships from notable programs such as Tanglewood and Aspen.

Richard Fu has also been involved with the Wiener Staatsoper Opernstudio and has participated in rehearsals and orchestral performances for various operas. His recent musical collaborations and releases highlight his active engagement in the classical music scene, featuring cello transcriptions and other works for piano and cello.
