Esther Igbekele JP

Esther Igbekele JP is a celebrated Nigerian gospel singer known for her soulful Yoruba-language songs that blend gospel and pop influences. Her love for music started early; by the age of five, she was already leading the junior choir at her church and quickly progressed to the senior choir because of her unique musical talents. Esther’s musical roots run deep—her father and his siblings were singers, and her grandfather was a respected drummer, which helped nurture her passion for music from a young age.

She began her professional music career in 1996 and has been part of several gospel groups, including Apostle J.A. Bankole's Ilu Ayo Gospel Singers, Ayewa International Gospel Singers, and Imole Ayo Gospel Singers. Over the years, Esther has released around a dozen albums, earning a warm reception from her audience. Some of her most popular songs include "Emi O Gbo Nkankan," "His Praise," and "God's Time."
