Bad Azz, born Jamarr Antonio Stamps on November 27, 1975, was a West Coast rapper from Long Beach, California, who rose to prominence in the mid-90s. His association with Tha Dogg Pound and his appearance on Tupac Shakur's "All Eyez on Me" album helped him gain recognition in the rap scene. Bad Azz was also a member of the LBC Crew (Long Beach City Crew), a collective closely affiliated with Snoop Dogg.
Bad Azz's music career boasts several solo albums, including the well-received "Word On Tha Streets" which dropped in 1998, and "Personal Business" released in 2001, showcasing his gritty storytelling and authentic delivery. Despite never achieving mainstream success, Bad Azz remained a respected figure in the West Coast hip hop community, known for his smooth flow and real-life inspired lyrics. His later works like "The Nu Adventures Of Bad Azz" and "Been Away" reflect his enduring presence in the industry and his commitment to recording. Unfortunately, Bad Azz passed away on November 11, 2019, leaving behind a legacy as a talented artist who stayed true to his Long Beach roots.
