Rick Benjamin
Rick Benjamin is a Grammy-nominated conductor and music director who has dedicated his career to preserving and promoting the works of African American composers. He is the founder and artistic director of the Harlem Chamber Players, an ensemble that specializes in performing the music of Black composers from the 19th and 20th centuries. Benjamin has also conducted numerous orchestras and ensembles around the world, including the New York Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. His passion for sharing the music of underrepresented composers has earned him widespread recognition and acclaim.
