Tomb Mold is a Canadian death metal band that has been steadily rising in prominence within the extreme music landscape since their formation in Toronto in 2016. Comprising Derrick Vella (guitars, backing vocals) and Max Klebanoff (vocals, drums), the band initially started as a duo, self-releasing their debut demo, "The Bottomless Perdition," to positive reception. This laid the groundwork for their raw and cavernous sound, which draws heavily from the old-school death metal aesthetic while incorporating modern sensibilities and a penchant for intricate, otherworldly themes.

After a couple more demo releases, Tomb Mold's first full-length album, "Primordial Malignity," came out in 2017, but it was their subsequent albums, "Manor of Infinite Forms" (2018) and "Planetary Clairvoyance" (2019), that truly cemented their reputation as a powerhouse in the genre. These records showcased the band's evolution in terms of complexity and atmosphere, featuring crushing riffs, pummeling drums, and a palpable sense of cosmic horror. As they churned out tracks like "Infinite Resurrection" and the monolithic "Accelerative Phenomenae," Tomb Mold's music displayed a unique blend of brutality and technicality, often weaving together themes of science fiction, existential dread, and the macabre. With a work ethic as relentless as their sound, the band has earned its place among the upper echelons of contemporary death metal acts, attracting a dedicated fan base eager for each subsequent descent into their ever-expanding abyss.
