Leif Kaner-Lidström

Leif Kaner-Lidström is a British-Swedish pianist and composer known for his soft, controlled, and expressive touch, which produces a singing tone on the piano. Raised in London, he began studying piano at the age of seven. He performs extensively on the classical scene, collaborating internationally with artists such as mezzo-soprano Anne Sofie von Otter, saxophonist Jess Gillam, and his father, cellist Mats Lidström. Leif is also actively involved in the UK's jazz scene as a member of the innovative collective Levitation Orchestra, and under the pseudonym Erik Sigurd, he has released a rich catalog of improvised piano music that has garnered millions of streams worldwide. Besides performing, he composes music for film and has worked with notable production companies like Netflix and BFI Film Network.

His recordings include interpretations and arrangements of classical pieces, often focusing on poetic and lyrical works involving cello and piano, showcasing his deep classical roots and personal artistic voice.
