Chris Cagle

Chris Cagle is an American country music artist who first emerged on the scene in the late 1990s. Born on November 10, 1968, in DeRidder, Louisiana, Cagle’s passion for music led him to Nashville, where he worked odd jobs and honed his songwriting skills before signing a record deal with Virgin Records Nashville in 2000. His debut album, "Play It Loud," was released the same year, and it included the hit single "My Love Goes On and On." The album's follow-up re-release included the track "I Breathe In, I Breathe Out," which became his first number one hit.

Over the course of his career, Chris Cagle has released five studio albums, which showcase his distinctive blend of modern country with rock influences. His albums, including "Chris Cagle" (2003), "Anywhere But Here" (2005), "My Life’s Been A Country Song" (2008), and "Back In The Saddle" (2012), have all contributed to his solid standing in the country music realm. With top-charting songs like "What Kinda Gone," the heartfelt ballad "Miss Me Baby," and the reflective "Chicks Dig It," Cagle has carved out a niche for himself with his relatable lyrics and robust, emotionally charged voice. Although Cagle announced his retirement from music in 2015, his work remains beloved by fans for its authenticity and the energetic performances that were a hallmark of his career.
