Summer Kid is an indie-pop band from Los Angeles, California. The band consists of lead singer and guitarist Jake McMullen, bassist and vocalist Emily Hamilton, and drummer and vocalist Ben Katz. Summer Kid's music is characterized by its catchy melodies, upbeat lyrics, and dreamy soundscapes. The band has released two EPs, "Happy Freakin New Year" and "Wake Me Up When I'm Famous," and is currently working on their debut album. Summer Kid has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, and has shared the stage with bands such as The Killers, Vampire Weekend, and Foster the People.
