Shtar

Shtar is an Israeli band known for blending Jewish rock, hip hop, and rap rock. Formed in 2006 by American rapper Ori Murray and English guitarist/songwriter Brad Rubinstein, the band's name is derived from a Talmudic word meaning "contract." They met while studying at the Aish HaTorah yeshiva in Jerusalem, where they rekindled their passion for music. Shtar's music often combines traditional Jewish themes with modern styles, as seen in their debut album *Infinity* and the *Boss EP*. The band has gained attention for their unique blend of religious and secular elements, often performing in unexpected venues and challenging stereotypes about religious musicians.
