Julian Hauptmann is a talented German conductor born in 1989 in Bad Windsheim. He began his musical journey as a member of the Windsbacher Knabenchor, a prestigious boys' choir, which laid the foundation for his passion for choral and orchestral music. Hauptmann further honed his craft by studying orchestral conducting at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire from 2020 to 2022, graduating with distinction. Notably, he won the Guy Woolfenden Prize for young conductors in 2021 and was a semifinalist in the Ionel Perlea International Conducting Competition the same year.

His devotion to choral music is evident through his long-standing role as artistic director of the Kammerchor Acûstico since 2013. In 2023, Julian Hauptmann took on the leadership of the AmadeusChor, impressing with his sensitive interpretation of Anton Bruckner's "Ave Maria" and becoming the choir's fifth artistic director in over 50 years. Known for his thoughtful musicianship and dedication to continuity and collaboration, Hauptmann continues to make his mark on the German classical music scene with a commitment to both orchestral and choral excellence.
