Mamiko Suzuki is a Tokyo-born singer-songwriter, rapper, and producer, widely recognized for her dual creative roles—both as one half of the dynamic hip-hop duo Chelmico and as a solo artist under her own name. Forming Chelmico with partner Rachel Watashiga in 2014, she helped propel the group to popularity with energetic, genre-blending tracks, most famously the anime theme "Easy Breezy." In parallel, Suzuki kicked off her solo journey in 2017, releasing intimate, lo-fi inspired music that often layers relaxed beats with jazz, folk, and Latin influences, and lyrics pulling from everyday life. Her solo style is more mellow and contemplative compared to Chelmico’s high-energy vibe, favoring warm piano and guitar melodies and showcasing her smooth singing alongside her rap skills. Suzuki’s debut EP, Deep Green, set the tone for her solo identity, and she’s since expanded her repertoire with albums like ms (2021) and mukuge (2024), as well as an array of singles and collaborations with artists like STUTS, TOSHIKI HAYASHI, and yonawo.
Active in Tokyo’s Pistachio Studio, Suzuki’s music regularly appears on digital platforms and finds its way into commercials, dramas, and guest features—always rooted in a passion for production and a commitment to crafting songs that feel personal and nostalgic.
