Press Gang Metropol

Press Gang Metropol is a band born out of the legacy of the French gothic band Corpus Delicti. Formed in 2006 by Christophe Baudrion (bass) and Franck Amendola (guitar), the group later welcomed Sébastien Pietrapiana as the lead vocalist in 2010. This lineup marks a significant reunion for three-quarters of the celebrated 90s French goth act Corpus Delicti. The band's sound evolves from the darker roots of gothic rock to incorporate new wave and post-punk elements, creating a distinct musical identity that blends the nostalgic with the contemporary. Their discography includes notable releases like "Checkpoint" (2012), "Fictions" (2013), and "Point Blank" (2019), showcasing their ability to craft music that is both nostalgic and forward-thinking.

Their music is characterized by chiming guitars, echo-heavy basslines, and atmospheric keyboards, which complement Pietrapiana's vocals. The band's style is often compared to influential acts like New Order and The Chameleons, with a touch of gothic melancholy in their sound. Press Gang Metropol's music is not just a reflection of their past but a testament to their ability to evolve and redefine their sound while maintaining a strong connection to their gothic roots.
