Kilgore Trout

Kilgore Trout is a band formed by NYC singer/songwriter Jeremy Gray in the early 2000s. The group's sound is characterized by a blend of indie-rock and pop, drawing influences from bands like The Pixies and R.E.M. Jeremy Gray teamed up with bassist Jason Simon to create the band's distinctive sound, which combines edgy vocals with sweet harmonies. Lead guitarist Miss Kim Henry, formerly of the Churchill's, joined the band, adding her bright pop sensibilities to their music. One of their notable releases is the EP "Novocaine," which showcases their ability to craft melodic, angst-ridden songs with a pop polish.

Kilgore Trout's music often features a balance of delicacy and angst, reflecting Jeremy Gray's emotionally charged writing style. The band's sound is both bitter and beautiful, with Kim Henry's vocal harmonies and guitar leads smoothing out the edges of Gray's edgy vocals. Their music has been praised for its unique blend of indie-pop and rock elements, making them a standout in the indie music scene.
