**Chris Penny**, aka **CPEN**, is a multi-national multi-instrumentalist who's been shaping electronic and house music scenes for over two decades. Hailing originally from Los Angeles but shaped by his formative years in London, he helped define the West Coast House sound of the late '90s and early 2000s with projects like CPEN, Dr. Sparkle, Curbfeelers (with Lance Desardi), and Untitled Orchestra (with JT Donaldson), dropping gems on labels like Seasons Recordings, Naked Music, and Icon Recordings that blended funk, electric R&B, and hip-hop vibes.

In the 2010s, Chris headed to Bali, serving as musical director and resident DJ at the iconic Potato Head beach club while gigging across Southeast Asia. He's since returned to London, diving into the Grime world in 2017 with production and collabs alongside heavyweights like Ghetts, all fueled by his "No Rules" ethos and jazz-funk roots. His recent releases like *Drama City: Street Scores*, *Bring Back That Boom Bap*, and *TropiPop* keep pushing those deep, eclectic grooves.
