Her big break came in 1979 when she won the Festival da Canção with "Sobe, sobe, balão sobe," representing Portugal in the Eurovision Song Contest that year and finishing in 9th place.

In 1996, she recorded a fado album in honor of her father, Loubet Bravo, who was a renowned Coimbra fado singer.
