Consortium Musicum is a German early music ensemble founded in 1955 by the conductor and musicologist René Clemencic. The ensemble specializes in the performance of medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque music, using historically informed performance practices and instruments. Consortium Musicum has released numerous recordings of early music, including the complete Brandenburg Concertos by Johann Sebastian Bach.
