Guerra Santa

Guerra Santa, which translates to "Holy War" in Spanish, is a renowned metal band from Venezuela, formed in 1991 in San Cristobal. The band is led by vocalist Marino Vásquez, who has been instrumental in shaping their sound over the decades. Guerra Santa is known for blending various metal genres, including Thrash, Speed, Power, and classic Metal, making them one of the most significant metal acts to emerge from Venezuela. Due to Venezuela's socio-political crisis, the band moved to Argentina in 2017, from where they have continued their music career, releasing notable works such as "Shangrila" alongside covers like "Muerto en Vida" by Resistencia. Their discography includes albums like "La Guerra Apenas Empieza" (2015) and more recent projects like "Éxodo: Un nuevo comienzo".

Over the years, Guerra Santa has shared stages with prominent metal bands such as Annihilator, Carcass, and Death Angel, showcasing their versatility and energetic live performances. The current lineup includes Facundo Coral on guitar, Santiago Brappe on bass, and Lucas Goncalvez on drums, all of whom joined in 2017. They continue to thrive in the metal scene with their melodic and powerful approach. Their recent releases reflect a continued evolution in their style, maintaining a strong presence in both South America and beyond.
