The Source

The Source is a Norwegian jazz band formed in Trondheim in 1993, known for their innovative fusion of jazz and other musical styles. The core group includes Trygve Seim on saxophone, Øyvind Brække on trombone, Mats Eilertsen on bass (since 2005), and Per Oddvar Johansen on drums. Over the years, the band has gained recognition for their many recordings and their beloved Christmas concerts, which have become a cherished tradition in Norway. They have also been nominated for the prestigious Spellemannprisen Norwegian music award, notably for their album *The Source of Christmas Live* in 2007.
