Hundreds of AU is a New Jersey-based screamo and post-hardcore band formed in late 2017 by members of notable acts such as You and I, Saetia, The Assistant, and Hell Mary. Known for their intense, chaotic but melodic sound, they blend razor-sharp musicianship with emotionally charged lyrics that explore themes like political unrest, personal struggle, and dystopian futures. Their lineup expanded with the addition of vocalist Brian Burdzy and bassist Buzz, which allowed the guitarists to focus on delivering complex, technical riffs and made their music more dynamic and textured over time.

The band’s fourth album, *Life in Parallel* (2024, Iodine Recordings), showcases this growth with guest appearances from respected figures in the hardcore scene like Geoff Rickly of Thursday. Hundreds of AU’s music maintains a sense of urgency and raw emotion, reflecting both personal and societal challenges, making them one of the standout hardcore bands from New Jersey’s vibrant scene.
