Cage The Elephant

Cage The Elephant is an American rock band that formed in 2006 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The band's core members are Matt Shultz (vocals), Brad Shultz (guitar), Daniel Tichenor (bass), and Jared Champion (drums). They first captured a widespread audience with their self-titled debut album in 2008, which featured the hit single "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked". Cage The Elephant is known for their energetic live performances and genre-blending sound, drawing influences from classic rock, punk, and blues to create a modern, yet retro style.

Over the years, Cage The Elephant continued to evolve with each new release. 2011's "Thank You Happy Birthday" showed a more experimental side of the band, while "Melophobia" in 2013 earned them critical acclaim for its bold and mature sound. The group's fifth studio album, "Social Cues", which was released in 2019, won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album, attesting to the band's continuing relevance and artistic growth. The album was marked by personal lyrical themes and a varied sonic landscape, housing popular tracks like "Goodbye", "Ready To Let Go", and "House of Glass". Known for their collaborative spirit, they also released "Broken Boy" featuring punk legend Iggy Pop. With a consistent pace, Cage The Elephant continues to secure their position in contemporary rock music with each innovative release.
