His passion for music began during his teenage years, and he initially performed in cafes around Sanur and Kuta with the band "Sunshine." In 2002, he met the band "Double T," and together they released their debut album, "Pocol," in 2003. This marked the first reggae album in Balinese. Joni Agung & Double T have since released several albums, including "Cinta & Kasih Sayang" and "Persaudaraan Tanpa Batas," showcasing their unique blend of reggae with local sensibilities. Joni Agung is also known for his dreadlocks and his role as a yoga trainer.
