Whiskey Myers

Whiskey Myers is an American Southern rock/country group from Palestine, Texas, formed in 2007. The band consists of Cody Cannon (lead vocals and guitar), Cody Tate (lead guitar, backing vocals, and rhythm guitar), John Jeffers (rhythm, lead guitar, and backing vocals), Jeff Hogg (drums), Gary Brown (bass), and Jamey Gleaves (percussion). They first started gaining momentum with their 2008 debut album, "Road of Life," but they truly made their breakthrough with their follow-up albums, "Firewater" in 2011 and "Early Morning Shakes" in 2014. Their sound seamlessly blends raw, gritty Southern rock tones with country influences and blue-collar storytelling, reminiscent of the classic styles of Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Allman Brothers Band, yet refreshed for a contemporary audience.

Whiskey Myers continued to solidify their place in the music world with their self-released album "Mud" in 2016, which showcased their hard-rocking energy and deep country roots. In recent years, they've further expanded their following with the self-titled "Whiskey Myers" in 2019, exhibiting an evolution in their musicality with more expansive instrumentation and an eclectic mix of bold anthems and introspective ballads. Their critically acclaimed 2022 album, "Tornillo," named after the Texas town where it was recorded, includes heartfelt tracks like "John Wayne," "Antioch," and the spirited "Whole World Gone Crazy." With their authentic storytelling and relentless touring, Whiskey Myers has not only cultivated a dedicated fan base but also earned a distinguished spot within the Southern rock pantheon.
