Leonor de Lera

Leonor de Lera is a talented violonist specializing in baroque music. Born in Madrid, she began her violin studies at the age of six at the Adolfo Salazar Conservatory. She furthered her education at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where she studied with Yfrah Neaman. Leonor also specialized in baroque violin under the guidance of renowned musicians like Rachel Podger and Enrico Onofri. She is the founder and artistic director of the ensemble L'Estro d'Orfeo, which focuses on 17th-century instrumental music. Her ensemble has released notable albums such as *Altri canti d'amor* and *L'arte di diminuire*, showcasing works by composers like Monteverdi and Marini.

Leonor de Lera has collaborated with various orchestras and ensembles, including Accademia Bizantina, L'Arpeggiata, and Cappella Mediterranea, working under the direction of prominent conductors like Enrico Onofri and Christina Pluhar. Her work reflects a deep appreciation for the nuances of baroque music, and her contributions to the genre are marked by her dedication to historical performance practices.
