Umberto Echo, also known as Philipp Winter, is a highly respected dub producer, sound engineer, and dub activist with a career spanning over two decades. Based in Munich, he has released numerous albums—12 by 2025—including his recent project *The Afrodub Experience*, which celebrates 50 years of Afro-Caribbean music by blending the rhythmic layers of 1970s Afrobeat with dub and reggae. This album features collaborations with international musicians from Africa, the Caribbean, and beyond, showcasing his ability to fuse traditional sounds with modern production techniques. Throughout his career, he has worked on over 350 albums, mixing and producing for a diverse range of artists and genres, and also has extensive experience mixing live shows.
