Doug and the Slugs

Doug and the Slugs were a Canadian new wave band formed in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 1977. The band's original lineup consisted of Doug Bennett (vocals, guitar), John Burton (guitar, vocals), Simon Kendall (bass, vocals), and Richard "Ritchie" Phillips (drums). Doug and the Slugs released their debut album, "Cognac and Bologna," in 1980, which spawned the hit singles "Too Bad" and "Who Knows." The band continued to release successful albums and singles throughout the 1980s, including "Music for the Hard of Thinking" (1982), "Popaganda" (1984), and "Tomcat Prowl" (1986). Doug and the Slugs disbanded in 1992, but they reunited in 2003 and have continued to tour and record sporadically since then.
