Molotov

Molotov is a groundbreaking Mexican rock band known for their explosive blend of punk, rock, rap, and funk with politically charged and often controversial lyrics. The band was formed in 1995 in Mexico City by Tito Fuentes (guitar, vocals), Miky Huidobro (bass, vocals), Jay de la Cueva (bass, vocals) who was later replaced by Randy Ebright (drums, vocals), and Paco Ayala (bass, vocals). Molotov quickly gained notoriety for their raw and energetic live performances, unapologetic social commentary, and their unwillingness to shy away from discussing issues like politics, sex, and corruption in their music.

Over the years, Molotov has established a dedicated fan base with their irreverent attitude and their ability to switch seamlessly between English and Spanish in their songs. They have made a significant impact on Latin rock and are considered one of the most important bands in the genre. Their discography boasts several hit singles and critically acclaimed albums. Some of their most iconic tracks include "Gimme Tha Power," "Frijolero," and "Puto," songs that capture their distinctive style and message. The band continues to perform and record new material, as evidenced by their recent releases like "No Olvidamos" and their live renditions of classic tracks "¿Dónde Jugarán Lxs Niñxs?" and "Chinga Tu Madre" from El Palacio De Los Deportes, cementing their legacy as a voice of rebellion and cultural expression in Latin American music.
