Jiří Kotača

Jiří Kotača is a talented trumpeter and jazz musician from the Czech Republic. He graduated from the Brno JAMU Department of Jazz Interpretation, where he specialized in big bands during his master's studies. Kotača is notably the founder of the Cotatcha Orchestra, which is known for its unique and original big band music style. He has also collaborated with other artists, such as Swedish musician Alf Carlsson, forming the Alf Carlsson/Jiří Kotača Quartet. This group combines jazz talents from Sweden, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. Their album "Our Stories" features a mix of compositions by both Kotača and Carlsson, showcasing their diverse musical influences.
