Dysrhythmia has been bending minds with their intricate instrumental prog-metal since forming in Philadelphia in 1998. The trio – anchored by guitarist Kevin Hufnagel (Gorguts, Vaura) and bassist Colin Marston (Behold... The Arctopus, Krallice) – crafts labyrinthine soundscapes that blend math-rock precision with metallic intensity, all without uttering a single lyric. Over two decades and numerous drummer changes (including original member Jeff Eber), they've built a cult following through releases like 2003's breakthrough *Pretest* and recent head-spinners like 2021's *Terminal Threshold*. Signed to Relapse Records since the early 2000s, these virtuosos continue to push boundaries, treating their live shows as tightrope-walking exhibitions of polyrhythmic wizardry. Their 2023 album *Coffin of Conviction* proves they're still masters of turning technical complexity into strangely addictive musical puzzles.
