Born Terence Nelhams-Wright in 1940, he rose to fame with a string of chart hits, including "What Do You Want?" and "Poor Me," both of which hit No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart. Known for his distinctive hiccuping vocal style and clean-cut image, Faith helped pioneer the pre-Beatles British pop scene.
