Candy Dulfer

Candy Dulfer is a Dutch smooth jazz and funk alto saxophonist who began her musical journey at an early age, influenced by her father, saxophonist Hans Dulfer. Born on September 19, 1969, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, she showcased prodigious talent as she took to the stage and studio while still a child. She gained international fame with her 1990 solo album "Saxuality," which garnered a Grammy Award nomination and underscored her formidable saxophone skills and flair for crafting accessible jazz-pop tunes.

Over the course of her career, Candy Dulfer has worked with a plethora of musical legends, including Prince, Dave Stewart (with whom she scored a hit with "Lily Was Here"), Van Morrison, and many others. She is known for her energetic performances, and her music often blurs the lines between jazz, funk, and soul. Her recent works, such as "Nakie Nakie," "Keep Going On," "All Love," and "We Never Stop," continue to showcase her vitality and creativity as an artist. Dulfer's ability to evolve while maintaining the signature vibrant style that her fans adore has secured her place as one of the contemporary icons in the jazz world, with an influence extending well beyond just saxophone enthusiasts.
